Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana will receive extra remuneration for taking part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.

A source working closely with the development confirmed it to Daily Sun on Saturday, suggesting that revised arrangements were made for Rana, including additional financial terms to feature for Peshawar Zalmi in the final of the ongoing PSL.

Rana, who had initially returned under the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) No Objection Certificate stance earlier, was later granted permission to stay back and feature in the title clash on 3 May after a review of workload and fitness considerations.

“Since Tamim Iqbal (BCB president) played for the franchise, he was lenient on getting Rana the NOC,” a source close to the development told Daily Sun.

“The team was also very happy with the performance and that is why he is getting some extra remuneration to play the final,” he added.

Rana picked up seven wickets in four matches for Zalmi before returning home to feature for Bangladesh in the three-match One Day International series against New Zealand.

He was later rested from the following three-match T20 International series to get adequate time to prepare for the forthcoming Test series against Pakistan.

Rana is still expected to be available for Bangladesh’s upcoming Test series against Pakistan starting 8 May in Mirpur.
