Mushfiq set for BCL return ahead of Pakistan Tests

Experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim is set to play in the first round of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) as part of his preparation for the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan in May.

It is understood that he has joined the East Zone side in Sylhet on Sunday evening, where both matches of the opening round will be held starting from 21 April.

Initially, Mushfiq was not included in any of the four BCL squads.

Most members of the Test squad are expected to feature in one round of the BCL before linking up with their respective Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League teams for at least two matches, ahead of regrouping with the national side for the Test series.
