Nahid’s raw pace for all format: Duminy's recognition

Bangladesh speedster Nahid Rana continues to impress with his raw pace and lethal mentality in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), receiving high praise from former South Africa all-rounder JP Duminy following his match-winning performance Saturday.

Featuring for Peshawar Zalmi in his debut campaign, Nahid's skill set goes well beyond T20 cricket, believes Duminy.

"Nahid has been outstanding. The control he’s showing at that pace is something special. With this speed and accuracy, he can trouble batters in all formats,” Duminy said on Sunday night at post-match talks.

The 23-year-old’s defining moment came against Karachi Kings, where he produced a stunning three for seven, the most economical spell by a foreign pacer in PSL history. His 20 dot balls also matched the tournament record.

He followed it up with two for 15 against Lahore Qalandars, underlining his consistency. Nahid now has five wickets from three matches at an average of 10.4.
