Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Parvez Hossain Emon has been replaced by Sri Lankan batting all-rounder Charith Asalanka, as Lahore Qalandars have signed an injury replacement for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026.
The franchise confirmed the move on Sunday, announcing that Asalanka will strengthen their squad as the tournament enters its decisive final phase.
Emon was ruled out after suffering a shoulder injury during Lahore’s recent match against Multan Sultans in Lahore. The injury occurred following an on-field collision with Asif Ali, with subsequent assessments confirming a ligament tear.
The 23-year-old arrived in Bangladesh on the same day in the morning.
The Bangladeshi batter featured in three matches for the Qalandars this season before being sidelined, and won a player of the match trophy.
