The start date for the second phase of the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) 2025–26 remains uncertain following the conclusion of the first phase on 4  January. Domestic football took a one-month break after the first phase, coinciding with the mid-season transfer window, which closed this past Saturday. Brothers Union made headlines on the final day of the window, reshaping their squad ahead of the upcoming matches.

Brothers have pulled off a blockbuster signing, securing England-based Bangladeshi defender Ekramul Kasper Hok. Towering at 6’2”, Kasper first turned heads during a trial at the National Stadium last June, dazzling coaches with his commanding presence, aerial dominance, and defensive prowess.

After receiving his Bangladeshi passport in October, Kasper further showcased his talent in the Red Green Future Stars squad during the Latin Bangla Super Cup in Dhaka, earning widespread attention for his performances. With his registration now complete, he is set to make his BFL debut, adding strength and experience to the Brothers backline.

In addition to this marquee signing, Brothers have revamped their foreign roster. Brazilian Marcos Rudwere and Ivorian Didier Brossou have been released, while Senegalese defender Mouhamed Becaye Diarra remains. The club has also added three players from Guinea, including forwards Kerfala Kouyaté and Mamoudou Condee and Barry Ibrahima.

In a surprising move, Brothers Union recruited five Pakistani players in Shayak Dost, Ghazi, Muhammad Umar Hayat, Abdullah Shah, and Hayan Khattak, replacing the four Nepali players in Anjan Bista, Sanish Shrestha, Arik Bista, and Yojesh Gurung from the first phase. The Nepalese players returned home due to scheduling conflicts.

Brothers finished the first phase in seventh place with nine points from nine matches, recording two wins, three draws, and four losses. With these new additions, including Kasper Hok at the heart of their defence, the club is looking to improve their standing in the upcoming second phase of the BFL.
