Sylhet seized firm control of their sixth-round National Cricket League (NCL) fixture as twin unbeaten centuries hit by Asadulla Al Galib and Amite Hasan lit up Day 2, setting the tone for a day of shifting fortunes across all four venues on Monday.
At the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, the hosts produced a commanding response to Rajshahi’s first-innings 236. Sylhet closed the day on an imposing 370 for 3, powered by superb unbeaten knocks from Asadulla Al Galib, who crafted a patient 111 off 199 balls, and Amite Hasan, who counter-attacked brilliantly for his 172 off 201 deliveries. Their unbroken partnership placed Sylhet firmly in the driver’s seat heading into Day 3.
At the Cox’s Bazar International Cricket Stadium, Chattogram posted 350 in their first innings, with Md Jillur Rahman Bejoy leading the way through a composed 113 off 204 balls. Rangpur faltered in reply, skittled for just 126 in 43.3 overs as pacer Hasan Mahmud ripped through the batting order with a five-wicket haul. Forced to follow on, Rangpur returned to bat again and reached 4/0 in 4.2 overs before stumps.

At the Sylhet Academy Ground, Barishal were bowled out for 217 in 55.3 overs in response to Mymensingh’s 354. Fazle Mahmud Rabbi fought a lone battle with a gritty 92 off 142 balls, but lacked support at the other end. Mymensingh’s Asadullah Hill Galib claimed four wickets to keep the pressure intact. Mymensingh then began their second innings and moved to 9/0 in 3 overs before light faded.
At the Khulna Divisional Stadium, Dhaka strengthened their grip after bowling out Khulna for 194 on Day 1. They progressed steadily to finish Day 2 on 235 for 5 after 80.4 overs, built around Foysal Ahmed Rayhan’s determined 77 off 186 balls and Jishan Alam’s solid 57 off 117. Their disciplined batting effort put Dhaka in a strong position heading into the third day’s play.
