Singapore Airlines (SIA) extends its warmest wishes to Singapore as the nation celebrates its 61st National Day in 2026. This year also marks a significant milestone for SIA in Bangladesh – 40 years of connecting Dhaka to Singapore and beyond.
Since launching services to Dhaka in 1986, SIA has played an important role in connecting Bangladesh to the world. Through its hub at Singapore Changi Airport, SIA provided Bangladeshi travellers, businesses and exporters with access to destinations across Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, supporting the country's growing role in international trade, education and investment.
Over the past four decades, SIA has worked closely with government agencies, travel and cargo partners, and the corporate sector to support the growth of Bangladesh's aviation industry. This has facilitated two-way tourism, business travel and cargo flows, while also strengthening inbound travel to Bangladesh.
Today, SIA operates daily services between Dhaka and Singapore and remains committed to deepening its presence in Bangladesh as demand for international travel continues to grow. We continuously enhance our products and services through cabin and digital innovations, expanded customer offerings, and tailored solutions for both trade partners and travellers.
At the heart of SIA's success is its commitment to service excellence, SIA continues to invest in its people through rigorous training and development, ensuring customers enjoy the hallmark service that has defined the Singapore Airlines brand for decades.
Sustainability also remains a key priority. SIA's strategy is anchored on three pillars: achieving net zero carbon emissions from its operations by 2050, promoting responsible resource consumption, and creating a positive impact on the communities it serves. Through ongoing fleet modernisation and continuous innovation, SIA is committed to supporting more sustainable growth while strengthening air links between Bangladesh, Singapore and the rest of the world. Customers may also participate in SIA's Voluntary Carbon Offset Programme, which enables them to calculate their flight emissions and contribute towards environmental projects to offset their carbon footprint.
As Singapore celebrates its 61st National Day and SIA marks 40 years in Bangladesh, SIA reaffirms its long-term commitment to the country and looks forward to many more years of strengthening connections, fostering partnerships, and supporting Bangladesh's continued growth.
