The third edition of the “Super Sale Car Bazar” drew a large gathering of interested buyers and sellers at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Friday.

The automobile marketplace, organised by Wizard Showbiz with ICCB as venue partner, has been held every Friday since its launch on 4 September.

The event runs from 10am to 7pm, bringing brands, dealerships, private vehicle owners, financial institutions and automotive businesses together at one venue.

More than 100 vehicles were displayed, including new, reconditioned, used and modified cars, motorcycles, electric vehicles and utility vehicles, organisers said.

Visitors walked around the displays, compared different models, features and prices, and talked to sellers about buying.

Private vehicle owners also brought their cars and motorcycles for sale or exchange, giving buyers an opportunity to deal directly with vehicle owners.

Organisers said the first two weeks received a strong response, prompting plans to expand the marketplace in the future.

The market also offered financing and vehicle inspection facilities. Representatives of IDLC Finance and four banks, including NRB Bank, discussed auto loans and financing options.

A technical team was present and inspected engines, accident history and tyre pressure.

Hyundai offered free diagnostic checks for vehicles at the event, a service that normally costs around Tk5,000.

Toyota displayed its Axio and Premio models at the event. Arif Hossain, a sales executive at a Dhaka-based car dealership, said the market offered buyers a more organised place to inspect vehicles and discuss prices with sellers.

Local seller Rakib Hasan brought a 2015 Toyota Allion, while another dealer displayed several popular models, including the Toyota Aqua, Honda Vezel and Nissan X-Trail.

Organisers said the weekly bazaar aims to make vehicle buying and selling easier by bringing different models and sellers together at ICCB, allowing customers to compare prices, explore financing options and communicate directly with sellers.
