Although no official announcement has yet been made about National Film Award-winning artiste Bidya Sinha Mim’s upcoming project, reports suggest that she has already completed filming for a new movie titled “Jibon Opera”. The film is directed by Alvi Ahmed.
Talking about the project, Mim said this is her first collaboration with director Alvi Ahmed. “I had never worked under Alvi bhai’s direction before. This is my first film with him, and I have already completed my work for the movie. At this moment, I cannot share much more about it. The team will officially disclose the details to the media at the appropriate time. However, I can say that I’m extremely hopeful about the film. Now, I’m simply waiting,” she said.
Mim won the National Film Award for her performance in the late Khalid Mahmood Mithu’s “Jonakir Alo”, which marked an important milestone in her acting career. Her most commercially successful film to date is Raihan Rafi’s “Poran”, where she starred alongside Shariful Razz and Yash Rohan.
Her most recently released film was “Malik”, directed by Saif Chandan, in which she shared the screen with Arifin Shuvoo.
Mim made her big-screen debut with “Amar Ache Jol”, based on a novel by acclaimed writer Humayun Ahmed. She also gained recognition on television through her performance in Mizanur Rahman Arian’s drama “Trump Card”.
Beyond acting, Mim has also ventured into writing. Her first storybook, “Sraboner Brishtite Bheja”, was published at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair in 2012, followed by her novel “Purnota” in 2013.
Mim has also represented more than a dozen local and multinational companies as a brand ambassador.
