Badhon joins Gulshaner Chameli

Popular actress Azmeri Haque Badhan has joined the cast of “Gulshaner Chameli”, a film that explores politics, abuse of power and the dark realities of elite society. Earlier, it was confirmed that popular West Bengal actress Madhumita Sarcar will play the lead role in the film. The project marks the Bangladeshi film debut of the Tollywood actress, widely known for her role as Pakhi.
Badhan will portray a lawyer in the film. The actress said she had preliminary discussions with director Mohammad Iqbal and agreed to be part of the project because she was impressed by the story. However, she has not yet signed a formal contract; the signing is scheduled for the first week of August.
Director Mohammad Iqbal said that pre-production is currently underway and shooting is expected to begin later this year. Although the film was announced about five years ago, work could not start earlier due to various reasons.
