TikTok removed more than 1.32 crore videos in Bangladesh during the first quarter of 2026 for violating its community guidelines, with nearly all detected proactively before being reported by users.
According to a press release, TikTok's Q1 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report showed that 1,32,18,004 videos were taken down between January and March, representing around 0.8% of all videos uploaded in Bangladesh.
The report said 99.6% of the violating videos were detected proactively, while 94.4% were removed within 24 hours of being posted. Following further review, 3,20,593 videos were reinstated.
Globally, TikTok removed 18.4 crore videos during the quarter, accounting for about 0.5% of all uploads. Of these, 17.8 crore were identified by automated moderation systems, while 88.4 lakh videos were restored after review.
The report attributed the improved enforcement to advances in AI-powered moderation, which reduced the number of violating videos viewed before removal. During the quarter, TikTok also removed 23.75 crore comments, 8.63 crore fake accounts, and 2.58 crore accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13.
Among the removed videos worldwide, 18.6% contained sensitive or mature themes, 16.5% promoted dangerous activities or challenges, 12.9% involved body exposure or sexualised behaviour, 12.6% violated safety and civility standards, and 2.1% featured edited or AI-generated content.
