The chiefs of the three services on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan met the prime minister at his Cabinet Division office at Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka.
Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman confirmed the meeting.
Prime Minister’s Adviser Brig Gen (retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam was also present.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Tarique held separate meetings with the directors general of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) and the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI).
Upon his arrival at the Cabinet Division office, Tarique Rahman was received by Cabinet Secretary Dr Nasimul Ghani and Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.
