Mirza Abbas returns home after medical treatment

BNP Standing Committee member and Prime Minister’s Political Adviser Mirza Abbas returned home on Wednesday night after receiving medical treatment in Singapore and Malaysia for more than five months.

The flight carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 9:30pm.

On 11 March, Mirza Abbas suddenly lost consciousness during iftar. As his condition did not improve, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital later that night.

On 15 March, after his physical condition deteriorated, he was flown from Dhaka to Singapore by air ambulance. Following treatment there, he was taken to Malaysia for further advanced medical care.

Mirza Abbas was elected a member of parliament from the Dhaka-8 constituency in the 13th parliamentary election.
