3 more children die with measles symptoms

Three more children died with measles symptoms and one from confirmed case across the country in the last 24 hours starting at 8 am on Thursday, raising the number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles symptoms to 1,114 since March 15.

With the three children died with suspected measles in the last 24 hours, the total number of death from suspected measles since March 15 stood at 1,012, said a press release of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.

Besides, with the one child died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, the total death from confirmed measles stood at 102 from March 15 to October 2.

According to the release, 1,221 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while the number of suspected cases stood at 194,084 from March 15 to October.

The number of confirmed measles cases was 21 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 21,623 since March 15.

From March 15 to October 2, a total of 172,021 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 166,933 patients were discharged from hospitals.
