The High Commission of India in Dhaka, in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC), organised a musical evening titled “A Musical Evening with Legends” on Thursday, paying tribute to legendary Indian singers Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey.

The event, held at the High Commission premises in the capital’s Baridhara, celebrated the remarkable contributions of the three iconic singers to Indian music and their enduring popularity among audiences in Bangladesh and India.

Addressing the gathering, Acting High Commissioner Pawankumar Badhe highlighted the rich musical legacy of the three artistes and their timeless appeal across generations.

He also emphasised the deep-rooted cultural ties between Bangladesh and India, noting that music and artistic exchanges play a significant role in strengthening people-to-people relations between the two neighbouring countries.
