Two popular singers, Ryan Taj and Promi Taj, are set to captivate Bangla music lovers in New York with their much-anticipated musical evening on Sunday.
The “Ryan Taj–Promi Taj Musical Night” will take place at Queens Palace in New York at 7pm, organised by Live Fusion Entertainment and presented by Utsab Group. The event has already generated considerable excitement among expatriate Bangladeshis in the city, with discussions surrounding the concert gaining momentum over the past few days.
For Ryan and Promi, the event is more than just a musical programme. They hope to create a memorable evening for the Bangladeshi community while helping the younger generation of expatriates develop a deeper connection with Bangla music and culture.
“We want to give expatriate Bangladeshis in New York an enjoyable and memorable musical night,” Ryan and Promi said. “We hope this event will bring people together and provide families and loved ones with an opportunity to spend quality time together. Our dream is to take Bangla music beyond geographical boundaries and spread it to audiences around the world.”
Ryan, alongside his career in information technology and cybersecurity, has been involved in music since his school days, when he formed a band named Saptorshi.
The duo released their 10-song album “Priyota” in 2015, followed by “Priyotoma” in 2017. They have also released individual songs. Promi received vocal training from Kaveri Das, daughter of renowned musician Ram Kanai Das.
For years, Ryan and Promi have been promoting Bangla music not only in the United States but also in other parts of the world.
