Popular small-screen star Sabila Nur has quickly established herself on the big screen following her film debut in the 2025 blockbuster “Taandob”, where she starred opposite Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan.
The successful pairing returned in “Rockstar”, further drawing attention from the audience and the film industry alike.
In a recent interview, Sabila spoke candidly about her experience working with Shakib Khan, particularly while filming romantic scenes. She revealed that she never felt awkward or uncomfortable because her co-star created a professional and supportive environment on set.
“Once the camera starts rolling, he is no longer Shakib Khan and I’m no longer Sabila Nur,” she said. “He becomes Agun, and I become Mira. At that moment, the characters matter the most. There was no hesitation or discomfort.”

Sabila added that Shakib’s ability to make his co-stars feel at ease helped her perform naturally. “He gave me a comfort zone where I was able to do the romantic scenes very naturally,” she said.
Beyond his acting skills, Sabila praised Shakib’s professionalism and dedication to his craft. She noted that the superstar carefully reviews every scene after filming, analysing his performance and discussing ways to improve.
“That is what impressed me the most about him,” she said. “He constantly evaluates each shot and looks for ways to improve himself. As an actor, I found that truly inspiring.”

The actress also recalled memorable moments from the film’s shooting in Malaysia, saying she was amazed by how quickly Shakib transformed himself for his character within just a few days.
Directed by Azman Rusho, Rockstar also features Dilara Zaman, Tangia Zaman Methila, Sunidhi Nayak, Pantha Kanai and Tariq Anam Khan in key roles.
The film, which reunited the popular on-screen duo, was released on 28 May this year and received significant attention from moviegoers.
