Switzerland, Bangladesh discuss cooperation on safe migration routes

Switzerland and Bangladesh on Monday held talks on strengthening collaboration to protect migrant workers’ rights, and foster sustainable, and safe labour migration routes for all.

Diepak Elmer, deputy head of mission at the Embassy of Switzerland, hosted the talks at a dinner, where he invited key partners in labour migration and welfare sector in Bangladesh.

The event was attended by the State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Haque Nur together with the secretary and the additional secretary of the ministry and senior representatives of IOM Bangladesh and ILO Bangladesh.
