Bangladesh, Brazil discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation

Bangladesh and Brazil have stressed the importance of regular high-level visits and discussed ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in new and emerging areas, while further strengthening people-to-people and institutional ties between the two countries.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir met Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Luiz Iecker Vieira on the sidelines of the United Nations meetings in New York on September 25.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest and expressed satisfaction with the growing momentum in Bangladesh-Brazil relations.

They also exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, economic engagement and South-South Cooperation.
