Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir at his office on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they discussed various
bilateral and multilateral issues, including cooperation in trade, investment,
energy and labour mobility, as well as regional and global matters.
State Minister Humaiun Kobir sought closer

institutions and Bangladesh’s Technical Training Centres (TTCs), as well as
support for training Bangladeshi caregivers.
The state minister appreciated Australia’s
continued support in addressing the Rohingya humanitarian crisis and expressed
hope that the two countries would continue working closely towards a
sustainable solution to the prolonged crisis.
The Australian high commissioner reaffirmed
that Australia would continue supporting Bangladesh in vocational training and
health sectors.
Australia would also continue supporting
Bangladesh in resolving the Rohingya refugee crisis, she said, adding that the
two countries were closely cooperating at the United Nations and other
