Tarique Rahman wishes speedy recovery of Anwar Ibrahim

Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has conveyed his prayers and warm wishes for the speedy recovery of his Malaysian counterpart, Anwar Ibrahim.

“I pray that the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, makes a speedy and full recovery. May Allah bless him with lasting health and strength,” Tarique said in a statement on Monday night, according to the PM’s Press Wing.

“The people of Bangladesh join me in conveying our warmest wishes to our nation’s valued friend,” he added.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has successfully undergone elective laparoscopic surgery to treat a para-umbilical hernia, his medical team said on Monday, reports Reuters.
