French ambassador, German chargé d’affaires meet NCP leaders

Ambassador of France to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet and Chargé d’Affaires of Germany Anja Kersten met with National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam at the NCP Central Office in Banglamotor, Dhaka, on Monday.

NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, International Affairs Cell in-charge Alauddin Mohammad, and International Affairs Cell member Navid Nawroz Shah were also present.

The meeting focused on the post-election political landscape, the NCP’s role in parliament, key reform initiatives, and issues of mutual interest in Bangladesh’s relations with the European Union. 

The participants also exchanged views on regional developments, Indo-Pacific cooperation, Bangladesh’s economic situation, and opportunities to expand economic partnerships.

Both sides expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation and strengthening Bangladesh’s relations with the European Union, France, and Germany through continued engagement on shared interests.
