EU Election Observation Mission delegation holds meeting with BNP

A delegation from the European Union Election Observation Mission to Bangladesh met with BNP leaders at the party chairman’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Tuesday.

The seven-member delegation, led by Chief Observer Ivars Ijabs, held constructive discussions on the 13th parliamentary election at the meeting. 

They also appreciated the positive role of all stakeholders in ensuring a free and fair election. 

The EU Election Observation Mission submitted a set of 19 recommendations to the BNP, including six priority recommendations.

BNP Standing Committee member and Prime Minister’s Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan led the party delegation. 

PM’s advisers Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, also the party’s senior joint secretary general, Md Ismail Jobiulllah, and Mahdi Amin were also present.
