Film actress Mou Khan is set to appear in a new avatar with the upcoming thriller-action web film “Shikari”, directed by Mehedi Hassan.

This marks her second web film, following Shaheen Suman’s “Mafia”, as she takes on a challenging character unlike any she has played before.

The story of “Shikari” revolves around psychological tension, crime and an intriguing mission. Mou Khan’s character is described as mysterious and intelligent, and she also performs several action sequences as required by the role.

Speaking about the project, Mou said the storytelling and canvas of web films have become more expansive than traditional cinema.

She said she read the script of ‘Shikari’ in one sitting and was particularly impressed by its twists.

According to her, the film will present her in a completely different look and atmosphere, and she hopes audiences will appreciate the effort.

The production company said shooting and post-production work have already been completed.

The film has been made with a contemporary production style, keeping OTT audiences in mind. Its release date and streaming platform will be announced soon.

Mou Khan entered showbiz through modelling and made her silver-screen debut in 2019 with “Protishodher Agun”.

She later appeared in films including “Bandhab” and “Jemon Jamai Temon Bou”. Her upcoming projects include “Child of the Station”, directed by Zafar Al Mamun and co-starring Imtiaz Barshan.

She is also awaiting the release of “Bangla Hercules”, starring and produced by Monowar Hossain Dipjol and directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar; “Bahaduri”, directed by Shafiq Hasan; and “Tobuo Prem Dami”, directed by Mohammad Aslam.

Her film “Sneher Bandhan” is scheduled for release on 9 October.
