Closing ceremony of 2nd DRMC National Cultural Festival 2026 held

The closing ceremony of the 2nd DRMC National Cultural Festival 2026, titled “Anondodhara,” was held on Saturday (4 April) at Dhaka Residential Model College.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj attended the event as the chief guest.

The Principal of the college, Brigadier General Dr Mohammed Zaber Hossain presided over the ceremony.

Spanning four days, the festival featured 26 competitive and creative segments, including the Book Review Olympiad, Solo Acting, Mime Acting, Debating Challenge, Pop Culture Quiz, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet, Folk Music, Handmade Crafting, and Folk History Olympiad.

The event drew participation from over two thousand students representing more than one hundred distinguished schools, colleges, and universities across the country.

Among others present were the Vice Principals of the college, the Coordinator of the convening clubs and Associate Professor Md Jahedul Hoque, the Moderator of Remians Cultural Club, Lecturer Md Tariqul Islam, and the President of the club and Cultural Prefect of the college, Nahiyan Zaman Sammo. Guardians, teachers, and students from various institutions were also in attendance.

The festival was organised with the objective of fostering cultural awareness among students, encouraging engagement with indigenous heritage, and nurturing a generation enriched with cultural knowledge and creative expression.

Through such initiatives, the organisers aim to contribute to the development of a culturally vibrant society and to present the nation with a distinct identity on the global stage.
