Remittance inflow rises 12.7% in July-12 Oct

Bangladesh received $9.88 billion in workers' remittances during 1 July to 12 October of the current fiscal year 2026-27, marking a 12.7% increase from $8.77 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

According to the latest Bangladesh Bank data, expatriate Bangladeshis sent home $1.29 billion during 1-12 October, compared to $1.18 billion in the same period of 2025, registering a year-on-year growth of 9.2%.

On 12 October alone, remittance inflow stood at $124 million.
