Addl Secy Md Manzur Alam appointed BPC chairman

The government on Wednesday appointed Md Manzur Alam, additional secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, as the chairman of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

He will serve in the position as his additional duties, said an office order issued by the Administration-1 wing of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

On 6 August, the former BPC chairman, Ziaul Haque, was promoted to the rank of secretary, effectively rendering the position vacant.
