The country's gross foreign exchange reserves crossed the $37 billion mark after nearly four years on Monday, the Bangladesh Bank said in an update.
The reserves stood at $37.05 billion, said the central bank.
According to IMF's latest calculation method, BPM-6, the reserves stood at $32.48 billion.
The reserves hit all-time high of $48 billion in August 2021, but has been on a downward trajectory since then owing to massive money laundering and capital flights under the Awami League regime.
The reserves fell below the $37 billion-mark in September 2022, and sank to $25.92 billion in August 2024, when the Awami League government fell in a mass uprising.
The foreign exchange rate also plunged in the run up to the regime's fall, from Tk84 in August 2021 to Tk120.
