Four entrepreneurs received $2,000 each in grants and awards at the closing ceremony of Restoration Factory Bangladesh 2025, held in Dhaka.
The programme, led locally by iDE Bangladesh in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Bridge for Billions, aims to strengthen the country’s green entrepreneurship ecosystem.
This year, 50 early-stage entrepreneurs from across Bangladesh participated in the programme, representing sectors such as renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, waste and circularity, water and sanitation, nature-based solutions, sustainable forestry, green manufacturing, and eco-friendly consumer products.
Over the nine-month programme, participants gained structured business incubation experience, expert-led sessions, and mentorship from local and international advisors.
The initiative focused on strengthening climate-smart business models, improving investment readiness, and promoting environmentally sustainable innovations.
During the finale, 17 entrepreneurs presented their innovative business solutions before a panel of expert judges. Based on the jury’s assessment, four entrepreneurs won grants, selected in the categories of Environmental Impact, Social Impact, Innovation and Technology, and Women Entrepreneur of the Year.
The event also featured a Green Innovation Showcase, where participants displayed their products and prototypes. Investors, development organisations, and private-sector leaders expressed strong interest in the showcased solutions.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Planning, UNEP representatives, and key figures from Bangladesh’s entrepreneurial ecosystem attended the ceremony.
