Families, educational institutions, social organizations and
concerned citizens must work together to prevent drug addiction, the misuse of
technology and the rise of youth gangs, said members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho
on Monday.
They also emphasised the importance of engaging young people
in sports, cultural activities and creative pursuits, while providing them with
care and proper guidance to prevent them from going astray.
Shuvosangho activists made these remarks at a discussion
meeting organized by the organisation’s Narail district branch on Monday
afternoon. The event also included the introduction of the newly formed
district branch committee.
The meeting was chaired by the district branch’s new
president, Faisal Shikder Setu, and moderated by general secretary Nazmun Nahar
Cynthia.

businessman and social worker Ranjan Kumar Roy; adviser Kripacharya Biswas;
adviser Md Sakibul Islam Shuvo; assistant general secretary Hasin Arman;
finance secretary Nusrat Jhuma; and literature secretary Sumaiya Islam Bonna.
Literature secretary Sumaiya Islam Bonna said, “If people
can come together to engage in harmful activities, why can't we unite to
prevent them? We can certainly stand together to fight injustice and crime.
This is the core objective of our Shuvosangho.”
Assistant general secretary Hasin Arman said, “If we unite
and build a collective resistance, it is possible to eliminate harmful
activities.” He emphasized the importance of involving young people in positive
activities.
