With the aim of promoting public awareness about maintaining
a clean and liveable environment, Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a
cleanliness campaign at Abdullah Molla School in Wari, Dhaka on Thursday.
During the drive, Bashundhara Shuvosangho members cleaned
the school premises and surrounding areas. They removed scattered waste and
garbage while also raising awareness among students and local residents about
cleanliness, environmental protection, and the importance of maintaining a
healthy environment.
The campaign was organized under the guidance of Abdul
Hannan Milton, coordinator of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Dhaka Metropolitan unit.
Also present were Shuvosangho Wari Thana Branch President Nasrin Akter Tisha,
General Secretary Amirul Islam Labib, Vice President Mahidul Islam Joy, Joint
General Secretary Sabbir Khan Rabbi, and Organizing Secretary GM Sadman Islam
Sani, among others.
Abdul Hannan Milton said, “Cleanliness is not merely a
one-day campaign; it should be a daily habit and an integral part of our social
responsibility. If young people take responsibility for keeping their neighbourhoods,
educational institutions, and surroundings clean, we can build a more beautiful
and conscious society.”
Nasrin Akter Tisha said, “A clean environment is essential
for a healthy and beautiful life. Everyone needs to develop the habit of
maintaining cleanliness through small initiatives from their own surroundings.”
General Secretary Amirul Islam Labib said, “Young people's participation can play an important role in creating social awareness. Through this cleanliness campaign, we want to convey the message that everyone has a responsibility to care for and protect their surrounding environment.”
