20 farm workers get caps in Brahmanbaria

Bashundhara Shuvosangho donated caps to 20 farm workers in two agricultural areas in Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila on Sunday.

The workers were harvesting crops at others’ fields in exchange for cash.

Biswajit Pal Babu, Shuvosangho’s Brahmanbaria district unit adviser and Kaler Kantho’s local correspondent, rushed to the crop fields to personally deliver the caps to the workers in the Kodda and Dubla areas of the upazila.

One recipient, Md Joynal, expressed his gratitude to Shuvosangho activists. “I have read about Shuvosangho’s welfare activities on newspapers. I like these endeavours a lot,” he said.

Another farm worker, Md Helal Mia, said that he and his team had come from Chhatak of Sunamganj to Brahmanbaria to make some cash by harvesting crops for others.

After receiving the cap, he said that Shuvosangho so much as thinks about the well-being of farm workers is more than enough for him.

Md Alauddin shared similar gratitude, saying he is thankful not for the cap but for Shuvosangho’s well-intended thoughts about him.
