Bashundhara Shuvosangho distributed educational materials for
free among at least 40 students from poor families at the Shuvosangho School in
Haluaghat, Mymensingh on Thursday.
The distribution event was filled with smiles and hope, as the
schoolchildren received the materials with great enthusiasm. Guardians said
that these supplies would further increase their children’s interest in
studies.
Syed Nafiul Hasan Mubin, adviser of the Bashundhara
Shuvosangho Haluaghat Upazila unit, unit President Zahiduzzaman Shihab, Acting
General Secretary Fakria Sithi, and Organising Secretary Abdullah Al Islam
Tamim were present at the event, among others.
Syed Nafiul Hasan Mubin said, “The future of a nation
depends on the education of today’s children. If we can ensure educational
opportunities for underprivileged children, they will one day take the lead in
building the country. Bashundhara Shuvosangho has been working tirelessly
toward this goal.”
He added that the main objective of the programme was not
only to distribute educational materials but also to inspire children to take
an interest in learning.
Other speakers said that ensuring education for poor and
disadvantaged children requires the collective efforts of every conscious
member of society. Education is a shared responsibility in which families,
society, and voluntary organisations play a vital role.
