House of Han, a specialty Chinese restaurant focusing on authentic cuisine and luxury dining, was unveiled at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport on Monday.

Led by Master Chinese Chef Chen, the restaurant brings traditional Chinese cooking techniques and heritage-inspired dishes to Dhaka, complemented by contemporary presentation, elegant interiors and personalised service.

A highlight of the menu is its signature duck, with preparation, carving and presentation forming part of the dining experience.

The restaurant emphasises traditional flavours, careful ingredient selection and culinary craftsmanship.

Speaking at the launch, Ashwani Nayar, area general manager for IHG Southwest Asia and cluster general manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka, described the concept as “honest luxury”.

He said the restaurant reflected Chef Chen’s creative vision, with a focus on authentic Chinese cuisine in a refined setting.

Master Chinese Chef Chen said Chinese cuisine was rooted in heritage, respect for ingredients and techniques passed down through generations.

At House of Han, he said, his aim was to preserve those traditions while bringing his own creativity and care to each dish.

Located on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Kurmitola, the restaurant is designed for business meetings, family gatherings and special occasions. It has 10 private dining rooms offering privacy, comfort and personalised service.

With its launch, House of Han aims to add a new option to Dhaka’s fine-dining scene by combining traditional Chinese culinary practices with a contemporary luxury setting.

For reservations, guests can call 01897-666466 or 01886-441177.
