Journalist Amir Khosru passes away

Journalist Amir Khosru, a former reporter for Voice of America (VOA), passed away while undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) Super Specialized Hospital on Saturday afternoon. He was 65.

Khosru was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) with liver cirrhosis, his colleague Musa Mia confirmed on Saturday evening.

The time and venue of his funeral prayer will be announced later, Musa said.
