Prime Minister’s Adviser and PMO spokesperson Mahdi Amin has said Bangladesh has security, planning and possibility despite global uncertainty.
“The global uncertainty that we are facing is having
an impact on everyday life. We need to move forward while accepting the
uncertainty, it is normal and inevitable. We must face challenges, the question
is whether we have certainty of ideology and morality while facing them,” Mahdi
said.
Mahdi made the remarks while speaking at a session on
the third day of the Bay of Bengal Conversation at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon in
the capital on Monday.
Mahdi said, “We are representing a government led by
the prime minister, which has taken up the responsibility to run the state with
massive mandate from the people after a long time. We are a democratic
government representing peoples’ hopes and aspirations.”
“There can be political uncertainty, but we deeply
feel that our responsibility is to ensure human rights, rule of law and freedom
of speech,” Mahdi added.
Dignitaries from various countries, including
jouranlists, researchers and academicians, attended the event.
