Nasiruddin Patwary attacked at Lalon’s shrine in Kushtia

Unidentified miscreants attacked National Citizen Party Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary and his compatriots, while they were leaving the shrine of Fakir Lalon Shah in Kushtia on Sunday evening.

Till filing this report, no injury was reported, even as Nasiruddin Patwary’s car was vandalised.

Nasiruddin Patwary managed to leave the spot with support from his party colleagues and police, and headed for the Kumarkhali Police Station to file a lawsuit over the attack.

According to party sources, Nasiruddin was in Kushtia on a personal trip, and on Sunday, went to Lalon’s shrine. When leaving the shrine, some unidentified youths attacked Nasiruddin and his team, and also vandalised his car.

Later, NCP leaders Nahid Islam and Hasnat Abdullah posted images of the shattered windshield of the car on their Facebook profiles.

According to their Facebook posts, it was the fifth attack on Nasiruddin Patwary since the BNP government assumed power.
