Kamrangirchar to be transformed into a beautiful suburb within five years: DSCC administrator

Dhaka city’s Kamrangirchar area can be transformed into a beautiful and planned suburb within the next five years through proper planning and support from all, said Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Md Abdus Salam on Tuesday.

“Many towns and cities in the world have been turned into wonderful places through the right plans and management, even though these were once hotspots with rubbish,” Md Abdus Salam said while speaking at a felicitation programme organised for GPA-5 scorers in this year’s SSC and equivalent exams.

Dhaka-7 lawmaker Hamidur Rahman also attended the event, which was hosted at Kamrangirchar.

Addressing the students at the event, Md Abdus Salam said, “Each one of you is a blossomed flower. Your merit and fragrance will one day transform Kamrangirchar.

“Apart from developing yourselves as clean and honest individuals, you must also work to keep your surroundings clean,” the DSCC administrator added.
