Facebook's desktop version suffered a widespread service disruption on Sunday, leaving users across several countries unable to access key features of the platform.
Users began reporting problems from around midday, with many unable to log in, load the News Feed or use several functions on the desktop version of the social media platform owned by Meta.
Some users said the website took an unusually long time to load, while others reported that the News Feed failed to refresh or display new content.
Downdetector, a website that monitors online service disruptions, recorded a sharp rise in complaints from around 1:30 pm, with thousands of users reporting problems accessing Facebook's desktop services.
Meta had not issued an official statement on the cause of the disruption at the time of filing this report.
