Gazette issued to mark 'Nazrul Year' on National Poet's 127th birth anniversary

The country will celebrate “Nazrul Year” from 25 May 2026 to 25 May 2027, marking the 127th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, according to a gazette notification issued by Cabinet Division Secretary Nasimul Ghani.

Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman announced the observance of the "Nazrul Year" while speaking at a programme marking Kazi Nazrul Islam’s 127th birth anniversary in Trishal of Mymensingh on 25 May this year.
