The government has ordered refueling stations across the country to prioritise vehicles of law enforcement agencies when providing fuel supplies.

The agencies include Bangladesh Police, BGB, Fire Service and Civil Defence, the Department of Narcotics Control, and the Prison Department.

The Home Ministry issued directives in this regard on Wednesday, but the matter came to light on Saturday.

The ministry’s Deputy Secretary Md Hafiz Al Asad signed the directives.

To this end, the filling stations are instructed to supply fuel to these departments and agencies on a priority basis, the order said.
