Metro Rail services resume after 15 minutes

Metro Rail services resumed at 1:05pm on Tuesday -- 15 minutes after operations were disrupted by a gas balloon on an electric power line.

According to MRT Police, the issue was detected around 12:50pm when the balloon was found hanging from the high-voltage line of the metro system at the Karwan Bazar section of the metro rail.

Authorities were forced to temporarily halt train operations to ensure safety, until the balloon was removed from the line.
