EC launches ‘Smart Election Management BD’ app ahead of polls

The Election Commission (EC) has launched a mobile application titled “Smart Election Management BD” to facilitate voters ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary election and referendum.

According to a press release issued by the EC Secretariat on Monday, the app has been introduced to ensure smoother election management and to provide voters with essential election-related information in a digital format.

Using the app, voters can search for their polling centres by providing their National Identity Card (NID) number. The application will also display detailed information, including polling centre location, photograph, distance, map and other relevant data.

The app will also provide information on registered political parties, election symbols, candidates contesting the polls, election schedules, election results, as well as other election-related data.
