SUCSU polls: Petition filed challenging HC stay order

The Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) authority on Monday afternoon filed a petition with the Supreme Court’s Chamber Bench challenging the High Court’s deferral of the university’s student union elections.

Advocate Md Saddam Hossain confirmed the development, saying the hearing on the matter will be held soon.

Hours earlier, the High Court had deferred Tuesday’s scheduled election by four weeks.
