Preparations finalised for Victory Day special military show

The government has taken nationwide elaborate programmes to celebrate the great Victory Day-2025.

A special military display will be held at the old Tejgaon Airport in the capital to mark the occasion.

From 11am on the day, the Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force will conduct separate fly-past drills. A special Victory Day band show will begin at the same time.

To make the Victory Day celebrations even more vibrant, at 11:40am, 54 paratroopers from “Team Bangladesh” will take part in a special aerial display.

To commemorate 54 years of independence, they will perform a skydiving show carrying the national flag.

After reviewing the final preparations, officials said that all aspects of security and event management had been successfully coordinated during the rehearsal.

On the day of the event, the entire area will be under special security measures.

To inspect the overall preparations for the special event, National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman, Cultural Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Gani visited the Tejgaon airport area yesterday (10 December). Senior officials from various agencies were also present.
