Dhaka metro rail authorities abruptly suspended services on
Sunday night after learning that two unidentified individuals had dangerous
boarded a train without entering the coaches.
Around 8:05pm, the authorities suspended operations for the
night.
Md Ahsan Ullah Sharifi, deputy project director for public
relations at Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-6), revealed
the development.
Two people got to the middle of two coaches at the
Secretariat Metro Station, he said. However, photographs of the incident
clearly shows one man on the roof of a coach, while a security member tries to reach out to him using a ladder.
One of the two has been located on the train. The other one
has got down and is on the run along the rail tracks, Md Ashan Ullah added.
Authorities have initiated a search operation to this end,
he added.
