Following the rally, cultural performances and other festive activities began at around 9:30am, drawing enthusiastic participation from members of the yoga society and local residents.

Several stalls showcasing traditional Bangla culture were set up by yoga society members. The stalls featured sarees, traditional ornaments, perfumes, pickles, pithas, sherbet and other local delicacies.

At around 10:30am, participants enjoyed a traditional Panta meal with a variety of mashed side dishes (bhorta), adding a festive touch to the Pohela Boishakh celebration.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Md Monirul Islam, convenor of the yoga society, said the event reflected the spirit of unity and joy.

“It feels wonderful to be able to organise this event together with everyone from the yoga society. We hope to arrange such celebrations every year. Many thanks to Bashundhara Group for the support in making this event possible,” he said.
