7 more children die with measles symptoms

Seven more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, beginning from 8am on Saturday.

During the period, 1,180 suspected and 93 confirmed measles cases were reported, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Between 15 March and 11 October, the country has recorded 104 deaths from confirmed measles and 1,058 from measles-like symptoms, totalling the toll at 1162.

During the period, the country has recorded 227,449 measles cases–205,028 suspected and 22,421 confirmed cases.

However, 174,469 patients were discharged from hospitals since 15 March.
