National daily the Daily Sun celebrated its 15th founding anniversary on Sunday amid grand festivity, and a rich presence of foreign diplomats.

Bashundhara Multi Trading Limited organised the celebration programme at Daily Sun office in the Bashundhara Residential Area of the capital.

Safwan Sobhan Tasvir, chairman of Safwan Bashundhara Global (SBG) and vice-chairman of East West Media Group PLC, launched the event by cutting the anniversary cake.

A number of foreign dignitaries, international news agency officials, and invited guests also joined the celebrations.

The new-generation English broadsheet turned 15 on Friday. The newspaper began its journey on 24 October 2010, with a vision to reflect the truth with impartiality.

Foreign missions based in Dhaka extended greetings to the newspaper on the occasion of its 15th anniversary.

Guided by the slogan “True and Impartial,” the Daily Sun has built a loyal readership among English newspaper audiences through its commitment to objective journalism, rich content, and engaging presentation – enhanced by distinctive infographics, design, and layout.

Since its inception, the newspaper has continued to illuminate every corner of Bangladesh, staying true to its promise of credible journalism that serves the nation and its people.

It remains steadfast in upholding the democratic aspirations of the country and stands firmly in the interest of Bangladesh, never compromising the values it has pledged to its readers.

To commemorate its 15th founding anniversary, the Daily Sun is publishing eight special supplements on a range of themes, starting Friday.
