Turkish deputy foreign minister meets new PM Tarique

Turkish Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Berris Ekinci paid a courtesy call on newly elected Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday.

Ekinci met Tarique Rahman at an office at the National Parliament after the BNP chairman took oath as the 11th Prime Minister of Bangladesh at the South Plaza of the Parliament.

Prime Minister's daughter Zaima Rahman, new Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and officials concerned were present during the meeting.

Earlier in the day, Ekinci arrived in Dhaka to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bangladesh’s new cabinet led by BNP.
